Manufacturing Engineer - Swiss Machining Manufacturer
My client is experiencing significant growth and is seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer with strong experience in Swiss machining for their facility near Itasca, IL. This role will be instrumental in developing new manufacturing processes, including the setup and programming of Swiss machines for new component production.

- Optimize manufacturing methods to improve quality, cycle time, and overall machining efficiency.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot production and machining issues.
- Develop, edit, and enhance CNC programs, including G‑code for Swiss‑style turning centers.
- Assist with machine setup and support operators to ensure smooth department workflow.
- Design tooling, fixtures, and processes for new and existing products.
- Interpret complex blueprints and specifications to ensure product conformance.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams on design improvements.
- Reduce tooling costs and contribute to preventative maintenance efforts.
- Maintain adherence to all safety procedures and operational standards.
Profile
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience, including hands-on work with Swiss‑type lathes.
- Proficiency in CNC programming and on‑machine G‑code editing.
- Strong ability to read technical drawings and apply GD&T principles.
- Experience problem‑solving machining issues in a production environment.
- Solid communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with engineering tools such as CAD/SolidWorks and familiarity with ERP systems.

Job Offer
- Base salary $90,000 - $120,000 depending on experience level
- Quarterly bonus incentives based on company performance
