In this role you will report directly into the Senior Engineering Manager and be responsible for:
- Performing comprehensive systems analysis, modeling, and simulation of circuit or system performance using advanced analytical tools, including cascade analysis for up/down converters.
- Conducting detailed analysis and designing RF and mixed-signal communication hardware components, such as digital receiver subsystems and exciters, while mastering various components like front ends, IF sections, phase-lock loops, AGC loops, synthesizers, and A/D and D/A conversion processes.
- Engaging in sophisticated filter modeling, analysis, and design to achieve optimal performance.
- Directing the integration, testing, and development of RF/millimeter-wave communications hardware for spaceflight applications while exploring innovative technologies for spaceflight communications.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet all customer and internal requirements, acting as the primary technical interface for customers, participating in technical meetings, and assisting in the development of customer specifications.
Profile
The successful candidate will have:
- 8+ years in microwave/millimeter-wave design theory and component design
- Electrical Engineering degree
- Proven experience delivering high reliability hardware from conceptual design to delivery
- Microwave modeling tool expertise
- Integrated Microwave Assembly (IMA) experience required
- Radio frequency (RF) and mix-signal design experience
