Assistant Controller | Food MFG | Pleasant Prairie, WI
Our client is looking for a strong Assistant Controller with experience in integrated ERP tools to own the daily accounting functions for the organization, manage a team of four, and continue to establish best practices in accounting as they continue to expand.

Our client is looking for a strong Assistant Controller with experience in integrated ERP tools to own the daily accounting functions for the organization, manage a team of four, and continue to establish best practices in accounting as they continue to expand.
Description
- Lead the monthly financial close process across four manufacturing plants, integrating multiple accounting systems and managing foreign currency transactions
- Review and approve journal entries and accruals to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Oversee monthly account reconciliations and weekly bank reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial records
- Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement; develop trend analyses and quarterly lender reporting packages
- Partner with FP&A, operations, and plant finance teams to analyze variances and monitor financial performance
- Conduct ad hoc financial analyses and contribute to special projects to support business decision-making
- Support the annual external audit by preparing required documentation and coordinating with auditors
- Contribute to the development and documentation of business processes and standard operating procedures to enhance financial reporting and internal controls
- Identify and recommend process improvements, leveraging data and automation to increase efficiency and reduce complexity
- Assist in the design and implementation of new financial systems and reporting tools to drive operational excellence
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Senior Accountants, supporting their professional growth and development
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred
- ERP System Experience (i.e. SAP, Netsuite, Oracle, etc.)
- Leadership Experience
