Superintendent - Ground-Up Construction | Hartford, CT |

The Superintendent will lead all on-site field operations for ground-up construction projects, from sitework through closeout. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards while managing all field personnel and subcontractors.

Description

• Oversee ground-up construction projects from sitework through completion
• Manage all on-site operations including excavation, concrete, steel, and finishes
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field teams daily
• Develop and maintain short-term and long-term project schedules
• Monitor jobsite productivity, progress, and sequencing of trades
• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals
• Lead subcontractor meetings and daily field coordination
• Enforce jobsite safety, quality control, and company standards
• Coordinate inspections, permits, and local building requirements
• Drive project closeout, punch list completion, and turnover

Profile

A successful Superintendent should have:

• 5-15+ years of Superintendent experience in ground-up construction
• Experience with commercial, institutional, or mixed-use projects
• Strong background in sitework, concrete, steel, and full building lifecycle
• Proven ability managing multiple subcontractors and trades
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and jobsite compliance
• Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, or construction management software
• Ability to lead projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
