Business Development Manager - Bioanalytical CRO
Reporting to the CEO, this individual will lead Business Development & Client Services for the Bioanalytical division at this exciting CRO startup.
Expected to use their strong technical/hands-on knowledge of the bioanalytical space to understand the Client's challenges and provide solutions. The requests can range from particle characterization, mass spectrometry, titer, cell-based potency, compendial assays & excipient analysis.

This client is a full-service CDMO/CRO which supports Gene & Cell Therapy and is based out of the Greater Philadelphia Metro Area. The business has a staff of 125 across multiple labs and service offerings and anticipates high growth due to customer demand.
Description
- Develop and execute both short- and long-term business development and marketing strategies aimed at achieving the company's growth and profitability objectives.
- Lead high-level business development initiatives, including prospecting, meeting with potential clients, delivering presentations on company capabilities, negotiating contracts, and managing the end-to-end process of onboarding new clients.
- Formulate and implement sales strategies to target organizations for analytical platforms & bioanalytical services.
- Collaborate closely with the scientific research team to ensure that potential and existing clients receive a seamless and responsive experience throughout the sales cycle.
- Proactively generate new business opportunities through cold-calling, networking, and outreach to prospective clients; maintain strong relationships with existing and past clients.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, biotechnology, or related field.
- Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in business development, particularly within the life sciences or contract research organization (CRO) industry.
- Proven track record of generating new business and managing client relationships.
