Description

The Process Engineering Manager will be responsible for:

  • Lead efforts to enhance operational workflows through continuous training, strategic process refinement, and the introduction of efficiency-focused initiatives
  • Champion ongoing improvements across machinery, materials, production techniques, tooling systems, and automation technologies
  • Oversee and coordinate the responsibilities of the engineering team within the organization
  • Explore and execute strategies to reduce operational expenses without compromising quality or performance
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders-including leadership, manufacturing, and commercial teams-to assess project needs and align on deliverables
  • Conduct market research, attend industry events, and evaluate new technologies to inform actionable, scalable project recommendations
  • Supervise the deployment, evaluation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of equipment and infrastructure, ensuring accountability among assigned personnel
  • Guide and validate the development and revision of product designs
  • Define and pursue the organization's technical and research priorities
  • Establish and enforce engineering standards, procedures, and best practices to support consistency and excellence in technical operations

Profile

The successful Process Engineering Manager will have a background as follows:

  • Degree in Plastics Engineering or a related technical field
  • Minimum of five years of practical experience in injection molding operations
  • Comfortable with, or eager to learn, quality frameworks and industry protocols including PFMEA, APQP, and PPAP
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and execute projects from initial planning through to full production deployment
  • Proficient in using a wide range of precision measurement instruments for inspection and process verification
  • Skilled in interpreting complex technical drawings and applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) standards
  • Experienced in identifying and diagnosing molded part defects, with a solid understanding of root causes and corrective actions
  • Capable of programming and operating coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and vision inspection systems
  • Technically adept with productivity and data tools, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access
