Accountant

Our client, a world-class educational institution, is looking for an accountant. This is a temp to perm role, and the successful candidate must be immediately available to start a new role.

Client Details

Well known educational institution based in Upper Manhattan. This role offers hybrid flexibility and potential for FTE within 6 weeks.

Description

This role will involve:

• Reconcile bank accounts, accounts payable, and fixed assets.
• Develop and manage accounting projects, ensuring timely delivery.
• Work independently to identify, gather, and use necessary resources and information to execute assigned tasks.
• Collaborate with team members and leadership to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational procedures.
• Ensure proper accounting of transactions in compliance with Zeta accounting standards.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

● Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

● Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and fixed asset accounting.

● Ability to take initiative and work independently to solve problems and meet deadlines.

● Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

● Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus.

● Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

● Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
