Superintendent - Affordable Housing

Our client is seeking an experienced DOB Superintendent to oversee our current affordable housing construction project in New York City. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering high-quality projects on time, within budget, and while complying with all NYC DOB regulations.

Description

• Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with NYC DOB regulations.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
• Monitor and enforce safety protocols and quality standards on the job site.
• Prepare and maintain daily logs, progress reports, and other required documentation.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any potential issues or delays.
• Liaise with the NYC Department of Buildings and other regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
• Ensure all construction activities adhere to the project schedule and budget.
• Lead and motivate the construction team to achieve project goals.

Profile

• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, with a focus on NYC projects.
• In-depth knowledge of NYC DOB regulations and construction codes.
• Experience working on NYCHA projects is a plus
• Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• OSHA 30 certification required; additional certifications are a plus.
