HR Operations Manager - Up to $175K - Hybrid NYC
A hedge fund is seeking a HR Operations Manager to play a hands‑on, tactical, and highly visible role at their firm. This is the perfect role for someone who thrives in a lean environment, enjoys generalist work (full employee life cycle, payroll, vendor management, etc.), and can partner confidently with senior leadership while supporting an ambitious employee population.
Client Details
This is an exclusive role through Michael Page with an established player in the hedge fund industry, looking to bring on an HR Operations Manager to their NYC office. This is a standalone role in HR with direct exposure to C-Suite individuals, and the firm is looking for someone motivated to contribute meaningfully to the firm's culture and HR function.
Description
- Manage onboarding, offboarding, employee documentation, immigration coordination, and compliance workflows.
- Oversee benefit administration and serve as the internal liaison with external benefits brokers.
- Process payroll (ADP preferred).
- Maintain employee records, systems, and reporting (Greenhouse experience a plus).
- Manage employee relations questions with judgment and discretion.
- Collaborate with C-Suite leaders and external counsel to support the people function of the firm.
- Help streamline processes, coordinate interviews, and ensure a high‑quality candidate experience.
Profile
- Experience within a hedge fund or broader financial services is required.
- Demonstrated success in an HR Generalist or People Ops role supporting a lean organization.
- Experience with full employee life cycle (recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, etc.).
- Comfortable operating autonomously and interacting with senior executives.
- Experience processing payroll (ADP preferred).
- Experience leading employee relations and performance management.
