A leading mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced Senior/Chief Estimator to step into a critical role following the resignation of the current Chief Estimator. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with 10-15+ years of experience in estimating, particularly within mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, or fire protection services, to join a respected firm in a senior leadership capacity.

Senior Estimator - Mechanical/ HVAC - Waltham, MA - Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the estimating process for a variety of projects across mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection sectors

• Lead and mentor a team of estimators, including senior and junior staff

• Work closely with the VP of Planning and Preconstruction and the Director of Preconstruction to ensure accurate and competitive bids

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all bids meet project scope and requirements

• Maintain and build relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients

• Step into a managerial role, taking ownership of team development and training

Profile

Senior Estimator - Mechanical/ HVAC - Waltham, MA - Will have

• 10-15+ years of estimating experience, with a preference for knowledge across mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection trades

• Strong background in plumbing estimation, though expertise in any of the trades will be considered

• Experience managing and mentoring estimating teams

• Proven ability to handle large, complex bids and collaborate effectively with multiple teams

• Detail-oriented, with excellent communication and leadership skills
