The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, financial performance, and team development in the Boston office, currently located in Weymouth but soon relocating to the Framingham area. Our client, a leading property damage restoration company with over 50 years of industry experience, specializes in residential and commercial restoration services, including mitigation and environmental trauma projects. They are actively seeking a General Manager to lead their Boston office operations. Known for their strong, values-driven culture, our client offers a stable, supportive environment and a clear path for career growth.
Description
The General Manager will be responsible for:
- Office Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to achieve revenue and efficiency goals, collaborating with corporate on long-term growth initiatives.
- People Operations: Lead and support a team of office and field personnel, conducting annual performance reviews and managing hiring and training initiatives.
- Project Financials: Oversee project budgets, manage overhead costs, and monitor Accounts Receivable to ensure optimal financial health.
- Client Relations: Serve as the primary contact for key clients, particularly with insurance companies, to maintain strong program relationships.
- Operational Efficiency: Continuously refine systems and processes to drive productivity and quality within the office.
Profile
The successful General Manager will have:
- Experience: 4+ years in a project management or business leadership role, with a background in restoration or residential construction preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office; experience with restoration software like DASH or CoreLogic is a plus.
- Industry Certifications: IICRC, WRT, or AMRT certifications are highly valued.
- Professional Traits: Demonstrated tenure in prior roles, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead and mentor teams effectively.
- Location: Must be based in the Greater Boston area, with flexibility to travel to job sites within a 90-mile radius.
Job Offer
What is offered for the ideal General Manager:

Competitive Compensation:
- Base Salary: $100k - $115k
- Total Compensation: Potential to reach $130k - $225k based on office performance, with commission and bonus opportunities.
- Additional Stipend: Up to $20k for the first year if needed to meet base salary requirements.
