Lead RF Engineer - Electronics Manufacturing - Danvers, MA
The Lead RF Engineer will be responsible for the technical execution of RF engineering activities, focusing on the design and development of high-power RF products. Reporting into the Director of Engineering, you will over 3 others in this role.

My client a leading U.S. manufacturer specializing in high‑power RF and microwave technologies for aerospace, defense, space, medical, scientific, and industrial markets. They have ISO 9001 and AS9100 certified facilities spanning across the US with a variety of product lines that support critical missions. Description
The main responsibilities for the Lead RF Engineer include, but are not limited to:
- Leading the design, development, and testing of high-power RF products and systems.
- Performing detailed circuit analysis, simulation, and validation for components such as switches, amplifiers, and control modules.
- Managing prototype fabrication and overseeing hands-on evaluation, tuning, and optimization of RF circuits.
- Utilizing CAD tools and RF simulation software to generate schematics and layouts.
- Operating test equipment including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and power meters to verify performance.
Profile
The successful Lead RF Engineer will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent, with at least 9 years of experience in RF/microwave design and development - or a Master's degree with a minimum of 7 years of related experience.
- Strong background in schematic generation, PCB layout, and practical circuit testing and modification.
- Proficiency with electronic design and simulation tools.
- Skilled in using RF/microwave test equipment to validate and troubleshoot circuit performance.
- Experience designing high-power RF control components using both surface-mount and bare die technologies.
- Familiarity with industry tools such as ADS, HFSS, AutoCAD, and PADS.
- Understanding of EMI/EMC testing procedures in accordance with MIL-STD-461.
- Experience working with RF circuits up to 40 GHz.
- Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
