Multifamily Construction Project Manager

The Project Manager manages the direction, completion, and financial outcome of an assigned project. In this role you will be responsible for supervising, directing and mentoring project engineering and administrative staff. The ideal candidate must be able to perform minimal monthly travel.

Description

The ideal Project Manager will:

  • Lead, organize, and actively oversee all project activities to achieve goals and objectives within set timelines and budget constraints.
  • Ensure product designs comply with engineering principles, company standards, contractual obligations, and relevant drawings and specifications.
  • Analyze project specifications to plan construction procedures, including start and completion schedules and staffing requirements for each phase.
  • Develop and approve accurate job forecasts to support project success.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of project specifications to ensure compliance by contractors and subcontractors.
  • Assess proposals and contracts for alignment with client and designer requirements, as well as company policies and standards.
  • Build, nurture, and maintain positive relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Manage all aspects of job profitability, including project start-up, budget tracking, schedule updates, and adherence to planned timelines.
  • Oversee owner billing processes, coordinate with the accounting team, and ensure accurate and timely monthly cash flow reporting.

Profile

  • BS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Architecture is required
  • Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Procore, Microsoft Office products and Microsoft Project.
  • Must have wood frame ground-up Multifamily project experience
  • Must be skilled at a variety of pre-construction work, such as planning, design and constructability review, value engineering, scheduling, and conceptual estimating.
  • Must be client facing
  • Must have strong communication and organization skills
