Equipment Engineer - Medical Equipment - Burlington, MA
In this Equipment Engineer role you will be responsible for the design, building and maintenance of process equipment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to develop and optimize automated solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.

Description
The Equipment Engineer will report directly into the General Manager and be responsible for:
- Design and maintenance of control systems for semi-automated processing.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical, mechanical, and automation systems.
- Lead and/or support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to equipment failures or malfunctions.
- Participate in equipment design and selection for new product introductions (NPI) and process optimization projects.
- Conduct testing and validation of automated systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Train and support production staff on the use and maintenance of automated systems.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, schematics, and manuals.

Profile
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in automation or controls engineering
- Must have CAD experience (preferably Fusion 360 or SolidWorks)
- Programming proficiency in LabVIEW
- Experience with National Instruments Hardware
- Working knowledge of ISO 13485
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-collaborative teams
