Associate Director of Practice Management
This role will partner with the Director of Practice Management, practice group leaders, department chairs, and firm management to provide financial and operational support to practice and department leadership. This role will apply both strategic and tactical solutions to help improve the profitability and efficiency of practice groups, including strategy development, business planning, hiring analyses, and financial/operational review.

Description
Partner with leadership to develop business plans at the practice group and department level; oversee implementation, monitor progress, and recommend proactive measures to meet or exceed goals.
Monitor financial performance of groups; collaborate with leadership to address issues and identify opportunities.
Analyze pipeline and demand metrics; manage capacity planning in coordination with talent management.
Collect, analyze, and distill operational, financial, and market data to provide actionable recommendations to practice and department leaders.
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, business development, talent management, HR, knowledge management, lateral integration, and professional development teams.
Serve as primary contact for practice leadership on administrative and operational issues, escalating as needed.
Facilitate long-term planning and growth strategies, including tracking hours, rates, revenues, headcount, and client budgets.
Organize partner meetings, set agendas, and follow up on action items.
Prepare presentations and reports for practice group and firm leadership meetings.
Monitor and improve key performance indicators (realization, utilization, cash flow, etc.).
Support adoption of practice management tools and contribute to competitive intelligence studies.
Assist in identifying growth opportunities and client expansion initiatives in partnership with business development.
Manage high-priority projects, provide status updates to stakeholders, and prepare internal communications.

Profile
Required
Bachelor's degree (business, finance, accounting, mathematics, or related field).
8+ years of relevant experience, with at least 4 years at a senior management level, ideally in a law firm, professional services, consulting, or financial institution.
Strong track record supporting senior executives.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related business applications.
Willingness to work extended hours and travel as required.
Preferred
Law firm, banking, or professional services experience.
Prior supervisory experience.
Job Offer
Expected annual salary range: $200,000 - $250,000, depending on location, experience, and skillset.
