Manufacturing Engineer Manager - Medical Device - Stoughton, MA
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will lead the mold tooling engineering for complex medical devices and molded components, supporting both new product development and continuous improvement.
You will lead a tooling team, drive excellence, and guide internal and external tool builds from concept through qualification.

Description
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will lead toolmaking and design activities, ensuring solutions for injection‑molded components and over‑molded assemblies. This role serves as the technical authority for DFM, tooling feasibility, and design collaboration across engineering teams and global supplier partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive DFM reviews, tooling risk assessments, and manufacturability optimization.
- Oversee mold design, tool build, debug, and qualification with internal and external teams.
- Support sustaining engineering with tooling issues, yield improvements, and design updates.
Profile
The ideal Manufacturing Engineering Manager is a seasoned tooling professional with deep experience in injection molding, mold design, and medical or regulated manufacturing environments. They bring strong CAD proficiency, hands‑on tooling knowledge, and the ability to lead both people and complex technical programs.
Top Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years in mold design, tooling engineering, or toolmaking.
- Strong SolidWorks background with proven DFM and feasibility review capability.
- Experience working with global mold shops and regulated production environments.
