Senior Asset Manager/Director

We are seeking a Senior Asset Manager/Director to oversee affordable housing assets across LIHTC, Section 8, preservation, and redevelopment projects. This role will focus on portfolio performance, compliance, operations, financial reporting, and long-term asset strategy.

Description

• Manage a portfolio of affordable housing assets across LIHTC, Section 8, preservation, and redevelopment projects
• Oversee portfolio performance, including budgets, financials, occupancy, cash flow, and reporting
• Drive long-term asset strategy, operational improvements, and portfolio planning
• Partner with property management, compliance, development, construction, and ownership teams
• Support lease-up, stabilization, preservation, and redevelopment initiatives
• Ensure affordable housing compliance requirements are met across the portfolio
• Identify and resolve operational, financial, and compliance-related issues
• Prepare portfolio updates, asset reviews, and recommendations for senior leadership
• Support audits, agency reporting, investor reporting, and asset-level business plans

Profile

A successful Senior Asset Manager/Director should have:

• Must have affordable housing experience
• LIHTC and/or Section 8 experience is essential
• Experience in asset management, portfolio management, or affordable housing operations
• Strong understanding of affordable housing compliance and property operations
• Experience with preservation, redevelopment, lease-up, or occupied affordable housing assets preferred
• Ability to review budgets, financials, occupancy, cash flow, and asset performance
• Comfortable working with property management, compliance, development, construction, and ownership teams
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
