Manufacturing - Mechanical Engineer II - Boxford, MA
The Mechanical Engineer will support the design, development, and analysis of HVAC-related mechanical components and equipment. This position plays a key role in ensuring that products are designed, built, and delivered accurately and efficiently. The role involves working closely with the engineering and manufacturing teams to develop new designs, enhance existing products, and troubleshoot technical issues.

A well-established industry leader in the design and manufacture of HVAC products and accessories, serving customers nationwide from multiple facilities. Their product line includes curb adapters, roof curbs, isolation curbs, economizers, coil guards, equipment supports, platforms, catwalks, and other custom-engineered solutions. The company fosters a collaborative and hands-on engineering culture focused on precision and continuous improvement.
Description
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and analyze sheet metal and structural steel equipment.
- Perform engineering design evaluations and calculations.
- Create design drawings and assemblies using SolidWorks (AutoCAD experience a plus).
- Provide technical support to production teams and collaborate with management on process improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and design-related issues.
- Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Contribute to new product development and continuous design enhancement.
- Full-time on-site position, Monday through Friday (no relocation or remote option).
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
- B.S. in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering (or currently pursuing degree).
- 0-6 months of professional experience; entry-level engineers encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, including creating sheet metal weldments and simple assemblies.
- Ability to produce accurate drawings and manage custom properties.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills with a hands-on mindset.
