My Client has been a leader in the concrete construction industry for over 20 years, delivering high-quality projects across Maryland, Southern Pennsylvania, and Virginia. With a strong reputation built on expertise and reliability, they have established lasting relationships with various top general contractors within the DMV area. Their project portfolio spans hospitals, higher education institutions, commercial and retail properties, and large-scale infrastructure developments. Currently, they have a $12 million backlog, with additional contracts expected by the end of February, ensuring job security and long-term growth opportunities
Description
My Client is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join their team in Middle River, MD. This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive professional who can support multiple projects simultaneously, assist with submittals and RFIs, and contribute to estimating. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with Project Managers and report directly to the company president, who is involved in all aspects of the business but maintains a balanced approach to leadership.
Responsibilities
Assist in managing multiple concrete construction projects from inception to completion.
Support Project Managers with submittals, RFIs, and project documentation.
Help ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain smooth project operations.
Utilize Procore for project management and estimating software (experience preferred).
Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
Contribute to strategic project planning and execution.
Profile
Experience: 3-5+ years in a construction-related role, ideally as an Assistant Project Manager or similar position.
Project Background: Experience in hospitals, schools, colleges, airports, or retail/commercial construction.
Stability: A proven career trajectory without excessive job-hopping.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Procore; estimating experience is a significant advantage.
Work Ethic: Ready to commit to a fast-paced, high-expectation environment and grow within the company.
