Senior R&D Engineer - Medical Devices - Woburn, MA

This role leads R&D efforts for implantable biologic materials, supporting product development, test method creation, tech transfers, and early‑stage research. You'll design manufacturing steps, run analytical testing, and contribute to expanding the biologics portfolio.

Description

• Support development of biologic product portfolio
* Update and create test procedures
* Expand product portfolio through new research
* Support product transfers and process improvements
* Design and validate biologic manufacturing steps
* Perform analytical testing across multiple disciplines
* Conduct routine assays, histology, mechanical tests
* Research new biologic product opportunities
* Handle human and animal tissue comfortably

Profile

A successful Senior R&D Engineer should have:

• BS/MS in Biomedical, Bio, or Chemical Engineering
* 5-7 years R&D experience in biologics or biomaterials
* Regenerative medicine biomaterials experience
* Strong chemistry/biology knowledge
* Skilled in experimental design and data analysis
* Creative problem solver for complex biologics
* Knowledge of analytical and bioanalytical methods
