Senior Project Manager

$160,000 - $190,000/Year

The SPM will be responsible for managing and delivering construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires a deep understanding of project management, client relations, and construction processes. The SPM will bring a strong background in managing diverse projects, possess leadership skills, and ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

My client is a leading general contractor in the Philadelphia region with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional projects across various industries. Our diverse portfolio includes commercial, residential, institutional, and industrial developments, and we pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Manager to join our team and oversee the successful execution of a wide range of projects.

Description

  • Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of construction projects, ensuring all phases (planning, design, procurement, construction, and closeout) are executed efficiently and according to company standards.
  • Manage and mentor project teams, including assistant project managers, field supervisors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other key project stakeholders. Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications.
  • Oversee project budgets, tracking costs, and managing resources to ensure profitability. Review and approve project estimates, change orders, and financial reports.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring on-time delivery. Proactively identify and mitigate risks to project timelines, budgets, and quality.
  • Ensure projects comply with all safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual obligations. Conduct regular site inspections and ensure all work meets required specifications.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, change orders, and subcontractor agreements. Ensure all contractual obligations are met and documented properly.
  • Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle, finding creative solutions to maintain progress and meet client expectations.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Experience with Life Sciences and/or industrial warehouses is preferred
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of successfully managing diverse projects (commercial, residential, institutional, or industrial).
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Expertise in budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and codes
  • Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
  • PMP, LEED AP, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
