Benefits Manager
The Human Resources Benefits Manager oversees all employee benefits, manages their administration, leads wellness and recognition programs, and ensures compliance with benefits-related regulations.

Our client is a community justice organization that centers safety and racial justice. Since their founding in 1996, the company has partnered with community members, courts, and the people most impacted to create stronger, healthier, more just communities.
Description
- Manage and supervise all aspects of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other employee perks.
- Work closely with external vendors, such as insurance providers and retirement plan administrators, to address issues and ensure the smooth administration of benefits programs.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist in organizing quarterly benefits committee meetings focused on health, welfare, and retirement benefits. Take meeting minutes to ensure accurate documentation and follow up with vendors as needed.
- Oversee the annual open enrollment process, handling planning, communication, and execution. Create and distribute communication materials regarding open enrollment, plan updates, and other benefits-related information to employees.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, providing explanations, resolving issues, and offering guidance as needed.
- Address and resolve complex benefits-related concerns, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions.
- Conduct benefits orientations for new hires and provide continuous education to employees regarding their benefits packages.
Profile
- A bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of related benefits experience.
- Familiarity with Paycom, Cigna and Principal is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and detail-oriented skills.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while efficiently completing tasks with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- The ability to use available resources and feedback to continually pivot, adapt, and grow.
- The ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality and discretion.
- You should have the capability to work independently and prioritize tasks to ensure the timely completion of projects.
