Process Engineer | Injection Molding
The Process Engineer will develop, qualify, and optimize plastic injection molding processes to ensure high-quality output and reliable machine performance. This hands-on role involves troubleshooting, training, and collaborating with production teams to improve efficiency and support growth in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Client Details

Description
- Develop, qualify, and optimize plastic injection molding processes to improve quality, output, and machine reliability.
- Approve process changes, mold protection adjustments, and cavity modifications.
- Troubleshoot complex molding issues beyond technician level and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production control to assign mold/machine combinations and maintain process documentation.
- Train and guide molding technicians on best practices and process standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Review and approve 'Run on Hold' rejects and maintain process windows for consistent performance
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Plastics or related field (highly preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in plastic injection molding (flexible for strong candidates)
- Hands-on approach; comfortable working on the production floor
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for molding processes
- Ability to qualify molds and machines and optimize process windows
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Familiarity with technical software; SolidWorks or CAD experience is a plus
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and collaborative with technicians and production teams
- Comfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with strict safety standards
Job Offer
- Competitive salary range of $80,000-$95,000 (depending on experience)
