Superintendent - Retail and Restaurant
We're partnering with a well-established Southern California general contractor seeking a seasoned Superintendent - Retail and Restaurant to oversee ground-up and TI retail/restaurant projects across the Santa Clarita Valley. This is a long-term opportunity with a financially stable builder known for repeat clients, tight-knit teams, and consistent project backlog.

Description
Key responsibilities for a Superintendent - Retail and Restaurant at our client include:
Oversee day-to-day on site building and construction activities to ensure schedule, budget, quality, and safety standards are consistently met.
Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and inspections, ensuring smooth work flow and timely project milestones.
Communicate regularly with project managers and clients to provide updates, resolve issues, and maintain strong relationships throughout the Santa Clarita Valley.
Enforce site safety protocols in compliance with OSHA and company policies to create a zero-incident job site.
Manage site documentation, including daily logs, look-ahead schedules, RFI tracking, and progress photos.
Profile
A successful Superintendent - Retail and Restaurant candidate will have:
5+ years of superintendent experience managing commercial ground-up and/or tenant improvement projects, ideally in retail, restaurant, or mixed-use sectors.
Proven track record delivering projects between $1M-$30M from start to finish, with strong scheduling and field coordination skills.
Expertise in reading plans, managing subs, and running efficient job sites while maintaining quality control and safety compliance.
Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate closely with PMs, owners, and city inspectors.
Hands-on knowledge of building and construction software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar) and ability to maintain accurate daily reporting and documentation.
