Client Details
My client is a niche leader in the energy efficiency space, being one of only 60 Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) in the U.S. They specialize in turnkey design-build projects that focus on reducing facility energy consumption and utility costs. Their project portfolio includes renovations and upgrades for federal government buildings, municipalities, universities, hospitality, and data centers, with a particular focus on MEP-heavy solutions.
The company operates with a mission to reduce energy and carbon footprints, and they live by core values such as delivering excellence, pushing boundaries, taking responsibility, and using teamwork.
This role offers significant travel (50-70%) initially, with a focus on meeting teams and overseeing projects in Denver and other locations nationwide. Over time, travel will decrease. There will additionally be an element of work from home.
Description

- Oversee the execution of MEP-focused construction projects, including mechanical retrofits, renovations, and upgrades aimed at reducing energy consumption and carbon footprints.
- Manage relationships with internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Supervise and mentor construction teams across multiple locations, with a focus on project delivery, timelines, and budget management.
- Travel to project sites nationwide, particularly Denver at the outset, to meet teams and ensure smooth project execution.
- Collaborate with the engineering and construction teams to ensure seamless coordination on design-build projects.
Profile
- 10-15 years of experience in Senior Project Management or Director-level roles within the ESCO or heavy MEP construction space.
- Expertise in large-scale construction projects, particularly those focused on mechanical retrofits, energy efficiency, and sustainable building practices.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, with the ability to analyze and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Proven experience in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to travel 50-70% nationally, with flexibility to reduce travel over time.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with Procore or similar construction management software is a plus.
Job Offer
- Competitive salary in the range of $165,000 - $175,000 per year.
