Client Details

My client is a niche leader in the energy efficiency space, being one of only 60 Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) in the U.S. They specialize in turnkey design-build projects that focus on reducing facility energy consumption and utility costs. Their project portfolio includes renovations and upgrades for federal government buildings, municipalities, universities, hospitality, and data centers, with a particular focus on MEP-heavy solutions.

The company operates with a mission to reduce energy and carbon footprints, and they live by core values such as delivering excellence, pushing boundaries, taking responsibility, and using teamwork.

This role offers significant travel (50-70%) initially, with a focus on meeting teams and overseeing projects in Denver and other locations nationwide. Over time, travel will decrease. There will additionally be an element of work from home.

Description

  • Work closely with the VP of Construction to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and lead various construction initiatives.
  • Oversee the execution of MEP-focused construction projects, including mechanical retrofits, renovations, and upgrades aimed at reducing energy consumption and carbon footprints.
  • Manage relationships with internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Supervise and mentor construction teams across multiple locations, with a focus on project delivery, timelines, and budget management.
  • Travel to project sites nationwide, particularly Denver at the outset, to meet teams and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and construction teams to ensure seamless coordination on design-build projects.

Profile

  • 10-15 years of experience in Senior Project Management or Director-level roles within the ESCO or heavy MEP construction space.
  • Expertise in large-scale construction projects, particularly those focused on mechanical retrofits, energy efficiency, and sustainable building practices.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, with the ability to analyze and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Proven experience in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to travel 50-70% nationally, with flexibility to reduce travel over time.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with Procore or similar construction management software is a plus.

Job Offer

  • Competitive salary in the range of $165,000 - $175,000 per year.
  • Travel expenses covered.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance with affordable employee contributions.
  • 401(k) plan with company match after 1 year.
  • Health Savings Account (HSA).
  • Tuition reimbursement for continued professional development.
  • Variable bonus structure, up to 20% of annual salary based on individual and company performance
