Due to excellent growth forecasts, my client is looking for a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join their team! The Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in sustaining Engineering, spearheading continuous improvement projects and providing coaching/training to machine operators.

My client is a leading, fast-growing manufacturer of specialty metal products that supply a variety of industries including Automotive, Aerospace, Semiconductor, and Agricultural. They have a very impressive production campus here in IL, with a range of production capabilities allowing them to vertically integrate. Because of impressive growth in some of their most profitable business segments, they are seeking experienced Manufacturing Engineers to join the team, and be future leaders at the company.
Description
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with design teams to improve product manufacturability
- Play key role in capital expenditure projects
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements
- Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement
- Provide technical support to manufacturing departments
- Participate in safety and quality audits
- Continuously learn about new technologies and methods in the manufacturing industry
Profile
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
- 4+ years' experience in a hands-on Engineering role
- Proficient understanding of manufacturing systems and processes
- Track record driving cost savings/efficiency improvements to manufacturing - knowledge of formal LEAN principles is highly desired
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Good understanding of safety and quality standards in the manufacturing industry
Job Offer
- Base salary $85,000 - $105,000 depending on level of experience
- 3 weeks PTO + 10 company holidays
- 4% 401k match
