Superintendent - Healthcare Construction

Description

The Superintendent will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the primary liaison with owners, architects, and engineers for daily project operations.
  • Developing and managing overall project schedules, identifying the critical path, and expediting key materials and equipment to ensure timely delivery.
  • Reviewing, addressing, and resolving subcontractor schedule impacts or productivity claims.
  • Making decisions regarding scheduling, logistics, delivery, quality control, and trade staffing levels.
  • Documenting field issues affecting budget, schedule, or quality, and preparing RFIs to clarify plan or specification questions.
  • Coordinating all trades to maintain efficient project operations and resolving site challenges related to procedures, sequencing, design clarification, labor, equipment, or scheduling.
  • Ensuring all required permits and insurance are current throughout the project.
  • Assisting with General Conditions to help maintain the project budget.
  • Overseeing work to ensure compliance with approved contract documents and quality standards.
  • Promoting a culture of trust and respect while mentoring and challenging team members to grow professionally.

Profile

The Successful Superintendent Applicant will have:

  • At least 5+ years of building construction experience required
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the general and subcontract documents, drawings and specifications, construction means, methods and materials, understanding of line and grade and survey methods.
  • Previous healthcare experience and ICRA knowledge is a plus but not required
  • Knowledge of construction cost control and basic accounting procedures. Computer skills and a familiarity with Microsoft Office suite programs. Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
  • Completed OSHA 30 hour training course.
  • Strong ability to develop employees by providing stretch assignments with the right blend of support.
  • Inside and outside work in all types of weather (heat, snow, rain, cold, etc.)
  • Occasionally lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have valid driver's license and insurance

Job Offer
