Junior Accountant
Our client, a renewable energy equipment manufacturer based in Houston, TX, is looking for a Junior Accountant. This is a temp to perm role, and the successful candidate will have an Accounting Degree & be immediately available to begin a new role.
Client Details
Renewable energy equipment manufacturer based in Houston, TX. This role is 5 days per week in office, and offers an individual with an Accounting Degree a chance to join a collaborative team with a major manufacturer in the area.
Description
This role will involve:
• Maintain accurate financial transaction records by establishing accounts and posting transactions in compliance with legal and internal requirements.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards and financial reporting requirements.
• Accounts Receivable: ü Issue customer invoices.
Follow up with customers regarding outstanding balances.
• Accounts Payable:
Verify supplier invoices are properly recorded in the system.
Ensure compliance with agreed payment terms.
• Creation, capitalization, and follow-up of company fixed assets.
Review sales tax on supplier and customer invoices.
• Participate in monthly closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Reconcile company accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Support payment preparation in coordination with the Treasury Department.
• Provide general accounting support and handle ad hoc daily tasks as required.
Profile
The successful candidate will have:
- Associates or Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- 0-3 years of accounting experience
- SAP software experience preferred.
- Ability to commute 5 days in office
