Estimator - Comm. Interiors
We are actively seeking a skilled and analytical Estimator to join a leading construction firm specializing in NYC commercial interiors. This role offers the opportunity to lead bid efforts and preconstruction on complex, high-profile build-outs.

This general contractor is a powerhouse in the NYC commercial interiors space, with a reputation for delivering premier office, legal, media, and tech fit-outs. Their team-oriented culture and meticulous project execution have earned them long-standing relationships with top landlords, architects, and Fortune 500 clients.
Description
Review and analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents for accuracy and completeness
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing for all architectural and MEP scopes
Solicit and negotiate subcontractor/vendor pricing and build competitive bid packages
Work closely with the preconstruction and project management teams to develop budgets and value engineering options
Assist in proposal development and client presentations when needed
Maintain and update cost databases and historical pricing models
Collaborate with project managers during handoff to ensure a seamless transition from estimate to execution
Profile
3+ years of estimating experience on commercial interior projects. Must be detail-oriented with strong Excel and takeoff skills.
5-7 years of experience estimating commercial interior fit-outs in NYC (corporate, retail, or legal sectors preferred)
Deep knowledge of construction methods, material pricing, and NYC market rates
Strong takeoff and cost analysis skills using tools like Bluebeam, Excel, and construction estimating software (PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, etc.)
The ability to read and interpret architectural and MEP drawings with accuracy
Excellent time management, written communication, and critical thinking skills
A collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently and within a high-performing team
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
