Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager will take ownership of complex public works projects from pre-construction through to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Description

• Lead multiple public works projects, ensuring compliance with contract specifications, regulations, and safety standards.
• Oversee all project phases, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and risk management.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with design teams, engineers, and other professionals to ensure seamless project execution.
• Manage and mentor junior project managers, providing guidance and support to the project team.
• Ensure project deliverables meet the quality standards expected in public works construction.
• Regularly report on project progress, financial status, and any issues that arise, proposing solutions when needed.

Profile

• Experience in construction project management on public works.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven ability to manage large-scale public works projects ($10M+) from inception to completion.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of public works contract administration, permitting, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project).
• PMP certification (preferred but not required).
