Industrial - Manufacturing Engineer - Portsmouth, NH
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for designing tooling, implementing process improvements, and enhancing product quality at a growing foam/plastic profile extrusion company. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to work closely with the president, using your technical expertise to drive business growth and operational efficiency.

Description
Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe and responsible production processes to prevent injuries, and identify and resolve safety risks.
- Design new tooling for production parts using SolidWorks CAD, and oversee first-article and R&D production runs.
- Develop tooling modifications as required to improve production efficiency or quality.
- Experiment with tooling, processes, and materials to enhance the quality of production parts.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements to increase product quality and throughput.
- Continuously work to enhance production efficiency through effective solutions and innovations.
- Participate hands-on in production as needed, including covering for employee absences or increasing output during peak times.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth and efficient operations in the production process
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD, with SolidWorks preferred.
- Previous technical experience in a plastics manufacturing environment, with a preference for plastic extrusion.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
- Hands-on approach with a willingness to actively engage in production.
- Self-starter with a proactive attitude.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and quality control software.
