Traveling Superintendent - Commercial Construction

Description

The Traveling Superintendent will:

• Supervise all on-site construction activities for retail fit-out projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and deadlines.

• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site that complies with OSHA and company safety standards.

• Conduct daily field reports and regular site meetings to monitor progress and address issues proactively.

• Collaborate with the project management team to update schedules, resolve conflicts, and ensure materials and labor are available as needed.

• Perform quality control inspections to ensure workmanship meets client expectations and contract requirements.

• Manage punch lists, closeouts, and turnover processes efficiently and professionally.

• Represent the company on-site as the primary point of contact with clients, inspectors, and vendors.

Profile

The Traveling Superintendent should have:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in retail interior fit-out or tenant improvement construction.

• Strong knowledge of construction means and methods

• Ability and willingness to travel extensively (up to 100%)

• Proven ability to manage multiple trades and fast-track schedules.

• Proficiency in reading blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
