Superintendent

Seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team and oversee the daily operations of our construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing multi-family construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Description

Project Leadership

• Serve as the on-site leader, managing all construction activities and personnel.
• Ensure that all work complies with project plans, specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Lead daily coordination meetings with subcontractors and project teams to maintain alignment on progress and schedules.

Scheduling & Coordination

• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules.
• Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
• Coordinate material deliveries and equipment usage to keep the project on track.

Quality Control & Safety

• Enforce quality standards through regular inspections and ensure adherence to plans and specifications.
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
• Conduct safety meetings and inspections to maintain a safe and efficient worksite.

Stakeholder Communication

• Act as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, inspectors, and stakeholders.
• Communicate regularly with project managers to provide updates on progress, potential challenges, and solutions.

Budget Oversight

• Monitor and manage project costs, identifying opportunities for efficiencies without compromising quality.
• Track and manage change orders, ensuring they are documented and approved.

Profile

• Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a superintendent in multi-family housing, senior living, or affordable housing construction.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from groundbreaking to final turnover.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes, and best practices for multi-family construction.
  • Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Certifications:
  • OSHA 30 Certification required; First Aid/CPR and additional certifications (e.g., LEED AP) are a plus.
• Location:
  • Familiarity with the Pittsburgh area and the ability to manage multiple local projects.
