Superintendent - Multifamily Construction
Client Details
We are a Top South Florida General Contractor with a successful history in Commercial Construction. Recently we have been winning Multifamily work and need a superintendent with this expertise
Description
Field Leadership & Coordination
- Lead all on-site construction operations, including subcontractor management, workforce coordination, and daily task planning.
- Oversee site logistics, material deliveries, equipment operations, and site organization.
- Conduct daily huddles, weekly coordination meetings, and ensure clear communication with the project team.
Schedule Execution
- Develop and maintain the field schedule in alignment with the master project schedule.
- Coordinate manpower and trade sequencing to maintain aggressive production milestones.
- Identify and mitigate schedule risks, delays, and conflicts.
Safety Management
- Enforce company and OSHA safety standards; promote a safety-first culture on the jobsite.
- Conduct regular safety walks, inspections, and toolbox talks.
- Ensure all subcontractors follow site-specific safety plans and protocols.
Quality Control
- Ensure installation meets contract documents, specifications, and quality standards.
- Conduct field inspections and manage punch lists throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proactively identify workmanship issues and resolve problems with subcontractors.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily logs, RFIs, inspections, and field reports.
- Track progress, productivity, and production issues in real time.
- Collaborate closely with the project management team on RFIs, submittals, and change events.
Stakeholder & Site Relations
- Serve as the face of the project in the field, representing the company professionally with owners, inspectors, and consultants.
- Coordinate with city officials, utility providers, and permitting authorities.
- Ensure the site is accessible, compliant, and operating efficiently at all times.
Profile
- 10+ years of commercial or multifamily construction experience, including 5+ years as a Superintendent.
- Proven success overseeing multifamily projects of $50M+, high-rise or mid-rise preferred.
- Strong knowledge of structural concrete, MEP systems, building envelopes, and interior finishes.
- Proficiency with construction management and scheduling platforms (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to plan, sequence, and supervise complex construction activities in fast-paced, high-density markets.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field is preferred
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients and stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing project requirements
- Proficient in Procore or similar project management software
