Leave of Absence Manager - 3 days in Raleigh, $80k-$100k
We are seeking an experienced Leave of Absence Manager to oversee a high-volume leave administration program. This role will manage a team of three specialists and ensure compliance with multi-state leave laws, FMLA, ADA, STD/LTD, and company-specific policies.
This position is located in Raleigh, NC on a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days work from home). The budget for this role is $80k-$100k + bonus and excellent benefits!

We are seeking an experienced Leave of Absence Manager to oversee a high-volume leave administration program. This role will manage a team of three specialists and ensure compliance with multi-state leave laws, FMLA, ADA, STD/LTD, and company-specific policies. The ideal candidate will have strong supervisory experience, expertise in leave programs, and a process-improvement mindset to enhance efficiencies in a fast-paced environment.

Description
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end leave of absence process, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local leave regulations (FMLA, ADA, state leave laws, STD, LTD, workers' compensation, and company policies).
- Supervise a team of three Leave Specialists, providing coaching, training, and guidance to ensure seamless case management.
- Partner with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Legal, and Managers to ensure accurate leave administration and smooth return-to-work transitions.
- Monitor and manage a high volume of leave cases, proactively addressing escalations and complex situations.
- Develop and implement process improvements to streamline leave management, enhance employee experience, and ensure compliance.
- Provide reporting and analytics on leave trends, case resolution times, and compliance metrics.
- Stay up to date on multi-state and federal leave laws, ensuring the company remains compliant and proactive in policy updates.
Profile
- 5+ years of leave management experience in a high-volume environment.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience, managing and developing a team.
- Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, STD, LTD, workers' compensation, and multi-state leave laws.
- Experience working in a large corporate environment, preferably within consumer products, manufacturing, or distribution.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and drive process improvements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively across HR, Legal, Payroll, and business leaders.
- HRIS and leave management system experience preferred
