Construction Superintendent - Big Box Retail Projects

One of our top clients is looking for an experienced Superintendent with 5+ years of experience in the commercial construction industry, specifically overseeing big box retail, automotive, medical office buildings. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing General Contractor in Georgia.

Our client is a National Commercial General Contractor based out of Georgia with 20+ years in the industry providing ground up and renovation services to the retail, light industrial, and automotive markets. Strong pipeline of current and upcoming projects and dynamic team that values a strong culture and collaboration.

Description

• Reviewing and verifying constructability of the plans and specifications.
• Creating and enforcing a construction schedule that is tracked and updated daily with a constant monthly look ahead to ensure timely completion of the project.
• Initial project estimates and bidding and qualifying subcontractors
• Preparing scopes of work and recommending subcontractors to be selected for contracting on the construction of the project. Sending out invitations to bid and managing the bidding process.
• Negotiating scopes of work and final contract amounts, preparing, estimating and verifying change order requests
• Responding to RFI's or submittals and responding to subcontractor or consultants project related questions.
• Directing and managing each of the Superintendents and Project Engineers to maintain the performance of subcontractors and consultants on-site.
• Implementation of strict construction safety practices
• Verify compliance with the plans and specifications, hosting weekly and monthly jobsite meetings as well as managing and conducting other duties necessary for the successful completion of the projects.
• Review monthly subcontractor invoices
• Attend monthly budget draw meetings, and cost to complete

Profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in the commercial construction industry
• Ground up and remodel project experience required
• Project experience with big box retail, automotive, gas stations, medical offices buildings required
• Technical degree level education in construction or related field
• Stable work record
• Knowledge in Construction Management or related field required
• Estimating experience required
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Job Offer

• Base salary range: $85,000 - $115,000 (Package is negotiable subject to experience)
