Description

The Director of R&D will be responsible for:

• Sets the long-term product vision and drives innovation across engineering and product development.
• Owns the technology and product roadmap, making sure it supports company goals and meets customer needs. Works closely with customers and the sales team to keep the roadmap relevant.
• Leads the product development process, holding teams accountable for hitting key milestones and celebrating wins. Focuses on learning from past projects and improving time-to-market.
• Works with Product Development, Sales, and Marketing to assess product competitiveness and use that feedback to guide future planning.
• Creates R&D programs to explore new ideas and develop next-generation products and technologies.
• Oversees hiring, training, and development of top talent in product and R&D teams, promoting collaboration and creativity.
• Manages budgets and performance for new product development, coordinating efforts across all related departments.

Profile

The successful Director of R&D will have a background that follows:

• BS in Engineering discipline
• Experience in chemical, semiconductor or electronic manufacturing is a MUST
• 8+ years in manufacturing environment
• 3+ in leadership or managing teams
• Requires significant experience and sound judgment to effectively plan and achieve manufacturing goals.
• Demands strong interpersonal skills and professionalism to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
