My client is a reputable, General Contractor in the Greater Kansas City area. Founded 20+ years ago, they specialize in the commercial and healthcare spaces. Due to growth in the pipeline, they are looking to bring on an experienced and dedicated General Superintendent to join the team. This individual will be essential to their work/projects and long-term growth of the organization!

Description

The General Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects on-site from start to finish. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

• Supervise daily construction operations and coordinate activities on-site
• Manage subcontractors, labor, materials, and equipment to ensure efficient workflow
• Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to resolve issues
• Maintain accurate records of project progress, incidents, and materials usage
• Lead and motivate on-site teams, promoting a safe and productive work environment
• Identify and mitigate risks and delays proactively

Profile

• Proven experience as a General or Lead Superintendent
• Experience running healthcare and/or commercial projects
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA Safety Certification) preferred
• Valid driver's license
