Maintenance Manager - Electronics Manufacturing - Haverhill, MA
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading the day‑to‑day maintenance, repair and installation of manufacturing and test equipment across multiple shifts and facilities. This role ensures high equipment availability, drives preventive maintenance strategies and develops the maintenance team to support operational and business objectives. Client Details

In this role you will report into the Director of Engineering and be responsible for:
- Establishing and maintaining equipment maintenance procedures and processes aligned with internal and external standards
- Ensuring production equipment is maintained and operating reliably to minimize downtime
- Developing, implementing and maintaining preventive maintenance and calibration programs
- Implementing and sustaining a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program
- Managing external vendor relationships for equipment, hardware and tooling repair
- Monitoring equipment, tooling and spare‑parts inventory levels and condition
- Leading lean manufacturing initiatives including Kaizen and 6S activities
- Managing departmental budgets, purchasing activities and expenditure tracking
- Setting short‑ and long‑term objectives and key performance indicators and reporting on performance
- Overseeing on‑time installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Reviewing employee competency, providing feedback and supporting development opportunities
- Creating SMART goals for the department and individual team members
- Developing strategic and tactical resource plans for staffing and equipment capacity
- Coordinating safety, repair and operational training for maintenance personnel
- Collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers to support equipment operation and installation
- Troubleshooting and supporting semiconductor handlers and electrical test platforms
Profile
A successful candidate will have:
- Professional degree or technical certification in a relevant discipline
- 10+ years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience leading teams to success in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques and scheduling
- Solid mechanical aptitude with hands‑on equipment repair experience
- Proven problem‑solving, project management and prioritization skills
- Ability to adapt effectively in a fast‑paced, multi‑priority environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and work collaboratively across functions
