EHS Manager

The company is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead all Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives across their manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing risk, elevating safety culture, and implementing systems that protect employees, facilities, and the environment.

Description

• Develop, implement, and oversee all EHS programs, policies, and procedures across multiple production and fulfillment areas.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, Cal/OSHA or state equivalent, fire code, hazardous waste, etc.).
• Conduct routine facility audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective/preventive action plans.
• Manage hazardous materials, waste disposal programs, and environmental documentation requirements.
• Develop and deliver safety training, including onboarding, emergency response, PPE usage, and job‑specific programs.
• Maintain EHS documentation, reporting, metrics, and recordkeeping to meet regulatory and internal standards.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, external auditors, and emergency services.
• Drive safety culture initiatives that engage employees, improve awareness, and reinforce accountability.
• Partner with leadership to develop long‑term EHS strategy and continuous improvement roadmaps.

Profile

• 5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing, food/bev, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, chemical, or similar regulated production environment.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations; Cal/OSHA knowledge a plus.
• Experience managing hazardous materials, waste programs, and environmental compliance.
• Proven track record leading incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Ability to design and deliver effective safety training across diverse teams and shift structures.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across operations, engineering, and leadership.
• EHS certifications (CSP, ASP, CHMM) are a strong plus but not required.
• A hands‑on, floor‑focused leadership style with a passion for building safe workplaces.
