The Project Manager - NYSCA Projects - Brooklyn, New York will serve as the on-site leader, managing all aspects of NYSCA construction operations to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality. Description
Lead and manage SCA construction projects (K-12 schools, additions, renovations, new builds) from initiation through completion.
Act as liaison between the client (SCA), project team, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure all project goals are met.
Develop, maintain, and update project schedules and budgets; ensure on-time delivery and fiscal responsibility.
Conduct regular site visits and oversee field operations in conjunction with the Superintendent.
Review and approve submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation in accordance with SCA guidelines.
Ensure compliance with DOB, SCA, OSHA, and all relevant city/state regulations.
Lead progress meetings with stakeholders and prepare detailed project reports and updates.
Manage procurement, subcontractor contracts, and billing in collaboration with internal teams.
Profile
5+ years of project management experience within commercial construction, with at least 2+ years focused on SCA projects.
Strong familiarity with SCA processes, guidelines, and documentation requirements.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
Proven ability to manage multiple trades, timelines, and budgets simultaneously.
Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera P6).
Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
OSHA 30-hour certification required.
