Assistant Project Manager - Retail Construction
The Assistant Project Manager will play a critical role in supporting the execution of light industrial construction projects, partnering closely with superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to drive schedule adherence, cost control, and quality standards. This position is ideal for someone looking to deepen their experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or flex-space developments while progressing toward full Project Management responsibility.

The firm is known for its collaborative team environment, repeat national and regional retail clients, and clear pathways for advancement across the organization.
Description
Our Assistant Project Manager will:
- Assist Project Managers through preconstruction, subcontractor buyout, and active retail project delivery
- Oversee RFIs, submittals, meeting documentation, change logs, and closeout tracking
- Partner with Superintendents and trade partners to keep retail build-outs and remodels on schedule

Profile
The Ideal Assistant Project Manager will have:
- 2-5 years of experience within retail or commercial construction environments
- Solid knowledge of construction workflows, trade sequencing, and project documentation protocols
- Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent tasks and meet tight retail-driven deadlines
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across field teams, vendors, and ownership groups
- Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, and comparable construction management platforms
