Project Manager

The Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring the successful delivery of project objectives within established timelines, budgets, and quality standards. They collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and resources to drive project success. You will work with other function of the organization with grouips based in Japan, China, and U.S.A.

Client Details

Our Client is a leading global manufacturer specializing in high-precision carburetors, electronic fuel injection (EFI) systems, and other related components for small off-road engines. The company's products are commonly used in equipment such as chainsaws, trimmers, blowers, and other power tools.

Description

  • Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables related to cable harness design, manufacturing, and installation.
  • Assess project feasibility and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Develop a project charter and gain approval from stakeholders.
  • Create a detailed project plan, including task assignments, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Develop a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for the project.
  • Identify and prioritize project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop cable harness designs that meet specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure cable harness designs are optimized for performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Allocate materials, equipment, and personnel to the project as needed.
  • Monitor resource utilization and make adjustments as required to meet project goals.
  • Develop and maintain a project budget, tracking expenditures and controlling costs.
  • Ensure that the project remains within the approved budget.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Provide regular project updates, status reports, and technical documentation.
  • Identify potential risks specific to cable harness projects, such as design changes or material shortages.
  • Develop risk mitigation plans and strategies to minimize project disruptions.
  • Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and specifications by assessing their impact and obtaining necessary approvals.
  • Communicate changes to all relevant parties and adjust project plans accordingly.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including cable harness designs, manufacturing processes, and installation procedures.
  • Ensure that documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible to team members.
  • Assemble and lead cross-functional project teams, providing guidance, motivation, and technical expertise.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Regularly engage with clients to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Ensure that cable harness projects meet or exceed client satisfaction levels.
  • Evaluate project success and identify lessons learned.
  • Ensure that all project documentation is finalized and handed over as required.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Master or specialization in Project Management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI (Project Management Institute) is highly valued.
  • Other relevant certifications include Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PRINCE2, Certified Project Manager (CPM), or Agile certifications.
  • 7 to 10 years of proven experience as a Project Manager or in a similar role.
  • Experience managing projects of various sizes and complexities, with a track record of successful project completion.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello, or similar platforms.
  • Strong leadership skills to lead and motivate project teams effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to interact with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Presentation skills to convey project updates and reports to diverse audiences
