VP - Data Engineering and Reporting Lead

A client is hiring for a Data Engineering & Reporting Lead (VP level) to support a data platform migration. They will be an individual contributor responsible for meeting with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate these to the development team.

Description

• Spearhead the migration of on-premise data assets to Azure Cloud, leading data engineering and reporting initiatives.

• Design and deploy data products using Azure Databricks and Power BI to support business intelligence reporting.

• Provide expertise in data processing, model design, and Azure Databricks to ensure quality and compliance in data solutions.

• Develop robust ETL/ELT pipelines, manage DBT workflows, and optimize data models, dashboards, and reporting performance.

Profile

• Reinsurance Industry Experience
  
• Enterprise Power BI and/or Databricks Reporting
  
• Azure Cloud experience
  
• Data modeling (star schema/tabular), DAX, performance optimization, and self-serve reporting enablement.
  
• Must be able to engage senior stakeholders and operate independently across technical and business functions.
