Machining Applications Engineer | Centerless Grinding

Our client is seeking a skilled Machining Applications Engineer to develop and optimize centerless grinding processes, set up machines for qualification, and recommend tooling for customer applications. The role also includes training customers and providing on-site technical support for machine startups across various manufacturing industries.

Description

• Familiarity/Experience with Cincinnati Centerless Grinder machine setup and operation.

• Experience in instructing others, teaching processes and machine controls.

• Process knowledge and operational experience with general machine shop equipment.

• Centerless grinding theory for thru-feed and in-feed applications.

• General mechanical aptitude with industrial machinery operations and automation.

• Grinding Automation (Conveyance, Gantry loaders, bowl feeders) experience.

• An understanding of Servo motors, CNC controls, HMIs, Gauging, Sensing

Profile

• Ability to travel to customer locations in the Midwest (60% travel)

• Centerless Grinding experience

• Manufacturing Process and Cycle time skills with understanding of Cpk fundamentals and engineering print tolerance knowledge.

• Confident with face-to-face customer support interactions and phone follow up communications.

Ability to create and execute personal monthly schedules
