Quality Manager - Microelectronic Manufacturing - Ayer, MA

The Quality Manager will oversee all QA and Test personnel, ensuring the daily operation of the QA department runs smoothly and efficiently. They will also provide quality-related order correspondence to customers, staff and train the team, and prioritize daily tasks to ensure consistency and meet customer deliverables.

Description

The Quality Manager (Microelectronic Manufacturing) Will:

  • Develops and maintains quality control objectives aligned with corporate goals, ensuring compliance with applicable quality standards.
  • Creates and implements inspection criteria and procedures to monitor materials, facilities, and products.
  • Leads inspection and testing staff to ensure continuous control over production processes and final output.
  • Assures product reliability and consistency through process checks and final inspections.
  • Analyzes statistical data and product specifications to establish quality and reliability standards.
  • Conducts root cause failure analysis, providing corrective actions to management and customers.
  • Investigates customer complaints, issues RMAs/DMRs, and works with vendors to ensure part quality.
  • Conducts First Article Inspections (FAI) and ensures compliance with ITAR and safety policies.
  • Designs and implements quality control training programs for key personnel.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements.
  • Participates in the development of company policies, goals, and objectives.
  • Monitors and reports on department progress toward goals and objectives.

Profile

  • B.S. degree or equivalent in a related field; certification in quality control (AS9100, Nadcap AC7120 rev E & AC71200/11r) is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in a Quality Management role, specifically in semiconductor quality and reliability
  • Extensive knowledge of quality assurance standards, including ISO/AS9100, NADCAP, GEIA-STD 0006, IEC TS 62647-4, J-STD-001 & J-STD-002
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, lean environment while maintaining quality standards
  • High-energy, self-motivated, and results-driven
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing data requests and priorities
  • Ability to learn new tasks independently and manage competing priorities
  • Team player with a flexible approach to problem-solving and process improvement
  • Local to Ayer, MA
