We're hiring an experienced Estimator to support a growing portfolio of multifamily and academic construction projects. This is a key role within a well-established GC, offering long-term stability and professional growth

Client Details

Our client is a mid-sized general contractor with offices in Burlington, MA and East Windsor, CT. With a team of 95+ professionals and annual revenues around $250M, they specialize in ground-up construction across multifamily, life sciences, academic, and commercial sectors. Recent projects include $40M luxury apartments, $70M affordable housing, and a $55M research lab addition.

Description

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for multiple concurrent projects, primarily in the multifamily and academic sectors. This role is based in Burlington, MA and reports directly to the Preconstruction Manager.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate cost estimates for ground-up projects ($20M+)
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and subcontractor bids
• Collaborate with project teams to align budgets and scopes
• Maintain historical cost data and pricing databases
• Participate in value engineering and bid strategy meetings
• Support proposal development and client presentations
• Coordinate with operations and field teams during preconstruction
• Ensure compliance with company standards and safety protocols

Profile

Estimator - Projects Up To $200M - Boston, MA - $150k - Will have

• 7-8+ years of experience in estimating for large ground-up projects
• Background in multifamily, wood frame, mixed-use, hotels, or academic builds
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Proficiency in estimating software and Excel
• Located within commuting distance to Burlington, MA

Job Offer

Estimator - Projects Up To $200M - Boston, MA - $150k - Will receive

• Salary range:
  • $150K-$160K for ground-up experience
  • $110K-$130K for TI/renovation/retail background
• Full health benefits
