Superintendent - New construction K-12 - DC Metro
We are seeking a skilled Construction Superintendent to lead field operations for a $34M project in the DC Metro area. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, and efficiency while coordinating subcontractors and ensuring successful project delivery.

The Washington, DC office includes a close-knit team of around 20 professionals across project management, estimating, field operations, and administration. With a strong track record in municipal and institutional construction-including police stations, firehouses, schools, and community centers-the company specializes in complex projects averaging $30M in value.
Description
The Superintendent will oversee day-to-day construction site operations, supervising field staff, subcontractors, and project activities to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities include managing site logistics, enforcing safety protocols, reviewing drawings and specifications, coordinating with Project Managers, attending progress meetings, and mentoring foremen and crews. The Superintendent will play a key role in leading field teams, monitoring budgets and productivity, and ensuring projects meet company and client expectations.
Profile
5-7 years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial and residential construction projects.
Background in municipal, institutional, or community-focused projects valued at $20M+.
Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, safety procedures, and technical building systems.
Proven ability to lead subcontractors, field staff, and multiple trades effectively.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills with a solutions-driven mindset.
