Sanitation Supervisor
The Sanitation Supervisor in a food production facility plays a key role in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment across the production floor, equipment, and warehouse. This position involves managing a sanitation team, ensuring adherence to food safety protocols, and upholding regulatory standards. By preventing contamination and preserving product quality, the role is vital to supporting the facility's overall operations and compliance.

Description
- Act as a key technical contact between factory teams, sanitation chemical suppliers, Corporate Quality Assurance, and any external service providers.
- Create, oversee, and manage the sanitation program, which includes developing cleaning schedules, Master Sanitation Schedules (MSS), SOPs, and overall sanitation procedures.
- Collaborate with chemical suppliers to deliver chemical safety training that aligns with company Environmental, Health, and Safety standards.
- Work alongside plant leadership to implement and uphold sanitation systems and initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to company policies on sanitation and pest control.
- Lead and support cleaning verification and validation processes to confirm the efficacy of sanitation practices and procedures.
- Provide technical guidance for managing and resolving challenges in environmental pathogen monitoring programs.
- Maintain compliance with food safety laws, including FSMA, HACCP, and other applicable regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Conduct routine audits and inspections to assess and confirm the effectiveness of sanitation processes.
- Keep detailed records of sanitation activities, including cleaning logs, audit findings, and corrective action plans.
- Facilitate training programs focused on performance management, employee growth, and other essential topics.
Profile
- At least 3 years of experience in managing sanitation processes within the food production industry.
- Comprehensive understanding of food safety regulations, including HACCP, FSMA, and GMP.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of training and inspiring teams.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledgeable about sanitation management software.
- Flexibility to work various hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
- Work takes place in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to cleaning agents, machinery, and temperature fluctuations.
- Job requires physical activities such as prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
This role will be a first shift opportunity requiring weekends with two days off during the week.
